"Where African Research Finds Its Voice"
International Journal of Marriage, Family and Divorce Studies (IJMFDS)
About the Journal
The International Journal of Marriage, Family and Divorce Studies (IJMFDS) is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal dedicated to the scholarly examination of marriage, family systems, marital stability, and divorce across cultural, legal, religious, and social contexts. The journal responds to rising global concerns surrounding family breakdown, marital conflict, changing relationship norms, and their implications for mental health, child development, law, and social cohesion. With Africa as a key contextual focus and global relevance as its mandate, IJMFDS provides a platform for evidence-based research that informs family policy, counseling practice, legal reform, and faith-based interventions. The journal welcomes contributions from sociology, psychology, law, theology, social work, gender studies, and public policy. Authors are invited to publish rigorous research that deepens understanding of family dynamics and supports sustainable, healthy family structures in contemporary society.
Aim & Scope
IJMFDS aims to advance interdisciplinary research on marriage, family life, and divorce. The scope includes marital relationships, divorce causes and consequences, family counseling, child custody, family law, domestic conflict, cultural and religious perspectives on marriage, gender roles within families, and family policy.
